Odaily News According to monitoring by Ember (@EmberCN), the whale, who had made profits in the previous three battles with ETH, chose to stop loss and close its position after the ETH price broke through its short position cost price. The 50,000 ETH position eventually lost $710,000, ending its undefeated record on ETH.
The whale opened a short position of 50,000 ETH on June 11, and when ETH fell to $2,200 on June 23, its position had a floating profit of $22.83 million. Today, ETH rose above its opening cost of $2,725, and the address closed all short positions at $2,740.
Despite the loss in this transaction, the whale still accumulated a profit of $4.88 million in historical ETH transactions.
