Standard Chartered Bank and Circle launch institutional-level USDC minting and redemption services
According to official news, Standard Chartered Bank announced a partnership with Circle to launch the USDC minting and redemption access capabilities for institutional clients, becoming the first global systemically important bank to offer such integrated services. Eligible institutional clients can use USDC through a single account opening and service process without needing to open a Circle account directly.
Initially, the service will be provided through Standard Chartered's operations in the Dubai International Financial Centre, supporting scenarios such as on-chain settlement, fund management, and liquidity management, with plans to expand to more markets after obtaining regulatory approval.
